The accused took out fake tenders of the railway and after a few days told the complainant that the tenders had also passed in his favour. On this pretext, the accused took Rs 2 crore 73 lakh crore from the complainant.
Kandivali Crime Branch has busted a big scam racket in the name of railway tender. DCP Akbar Pathan (Crime) said that three people have been arrested in this case.
The complainant in this case keeps tenders for different works of BMC and Surat Municipal Corporation. This time a man told him about the horse pipe tender. It consists of connecting two compartments. When the complainant was ready, the accused pulled out fake tenders of the railway and a few days later told the complainant that the tenders had also passed in his favour. On this pretext, the accused took Rs 2 crore 73 lakh crore from the complainant. When the complainant asked for horse pipes, he said that they would be delivered directly to the Railways. But this did not happen. When the complainant came to know of the scam, he contacted Senior Inspector Sunil Mane After this, Mane formed a team of Inspector Sharad Jhine, Nitin Utekar and other officers. In this, three accused named Kiran Chauhan, Subhash Solanki and Mayur Solanki were arrested.
