Two people arrested in Thane city for killing a 48-year-old man and hiding his body

In a bizarre incident, the Maharashtra Police on Wednesday arrested two persons for killing a 48-year-old man and hiding his body at a different location in Thane city of Maharashtra. Santosh Gugre (30) and Mangesh Murudkar (35) were arrested in the early hours of the day for poisoning Tanaji Laxman Javir and hiding his body, said Kishore Khairnar, senior inspector of Kasaravadavali police station.
The official said that the victim worked for the main accused Kalpana Baliram Nagalkar, who killed her to help the other three accused Geeta Avinash Arolkar (45), Murudkar and Gugare. Nagalkar offered the trio Rs 2 lakh to carry out the murder.
The officer said that the victim was called to the Gimukh drain on July 17 and drank liquor with poison, which he died on the spot and hiding her body at a distant place. He said that under sections 302 (murder), 120B (criminal conspiracy) and other relevant provisions of the IPC, crime has been registered at Kasaravadali police station and further investigation is on.
