Uncle arrested for raping a minor for two months during lockdown

Bhoiwada police arrested a 40-year-old man for raping his 17-year-old minor relative for more than two months. According to the police, the girl came to the city during the lockdown, however, when she recently returned to her home, it was found that she had been raped. The girl’s parents questioned her in confidence, after which she revealed that her uncle allegedly abused her sexually. His uncle were arrested on Tuesday after the crime was registered. According to police, the girl from Dhule came to her aunt place in Parel during the lockdown, the accused, who is a girl’s uncle, took advantage of it and whenever other family members go out, he would rape her. According to the statement given to the police, between August and October, the accused exploited him several times.
Recently, when the girl returned to her home, she complained of abdominal pain and was taken to the doctor for a test. During the trial, it was revealed that he was sexually assaulted. Her parents then took her into confidence when she narrated her tragedy. The hospital authorities alerted the local police in Dhule, who filed a zero FIR against the uncle and shifted them to the Bhoiwada police station as the crime was under their jurisdiction.
On Tuesday, offenses were registered under Section 376 (rape) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) as well as related sections of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offenses Act. Confirming the registration, Senior Inspector of Crime Vinod Kamble said, to fight against criminal journalist “We arrested the accused soon after the crime was registered and our investigation is on”.
The girl told the police that, her uncle told her that he had shot the video for the first time of sexually abusing her and had threatened to circulate it if she told anyone. A police officer said that we are verifying his claim.
