The High Court has also told the Mumbai Police that by this date, there is no need to call Kangana and inquire again.
In the sedition case, Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut and her sister Rangoli have got a big relief from the Bombay High Court. The Bombay High Court has stayed the police action and arrest against Kangana till 25 January.
In this case, on January 8, Kangna reached Bandra Police Station and recorded her statement. Kangana also recorded this statement on the order of the court.
Kangana expressed anger by sharing a video on Twitter before reaching the police station. They alleged that they are being tortured mentally, emotionally and physically.
The Maharashtra government had also raised objection to this video of Kangana. Advocate Rizwan Merchant said that this is a Contemp of Court, after this, he has also filed a Contempt of Court against Kangana in the court.
According to the complaint, Kangana Ranaut’s sister Rangoli Chandel shared an objectionable message on Twitter against a community in April, following which her account was suspended. According to this, Ranaut also later made serious allegations against a community by sharing a video in support of his sister.
In this case, the police filed a case of sedition on him. The Mumbai Police issued a notice to Kangana several times and called for inquiries but she did not go. Instead Kangana moved the Bombay High Court. At the behest of the High Court, she recorded his statement on 8 January. Now once again he has got relief till 25 January.
