Forty-two people booked during raids at a hookah bar in Mumbai by the crime branch of Mumbai Police. According to the officials, the hookah parlour being operated from the terrace of a hotel in Andheri locality on Saturday.
On February 6, acting on information regarding the illegal operations of the hookah parlour, crime branch police conducted raids at the premise on the club in the suburban Andheri.
According to the official added that hookah was found to be tobacco-mixed. He also added that various hookah flavours, pots and cigarettes were also seized.
As per police statement, cases under the relevant provisions of the law have been registered against the staff of the parlour, the customers and others. A case under sections of the Indian Penal Code, The Cigarettes and Other Tobacco Products Act (COTPA) has been registered along with other sections.
