Juhu police registered FIR against popular restaurant and Bar for flauting the norms of the social distancing spike of Covid-19

The Mumbai police have registered an FIR against a popular restaurant and Bar in Juhu area late on Friday night for flauting the norms of the social distancing amid the spike of Covid-19 positive cases in the city.

According to the senior police inspector of juhu police station shashikant manne said the restaurant Rehab was raided by the police on baise of information at late night on Friday and found above 70 to 80 people’s that the patrons of the restaurant were violating the social distancing norms. The officers said that below 100 of patrons who were found without wearing a mask. The restaurant was also found of operating beyond the 50 percent capacity which is also against the norms set by the state goverment

The Juhu police have registered a case under sections 188, 269, 270, U/s ipc r/w 52(b) disaster management act of the Indian Penal Code and are investigating the matter.The case has been registered against owner Mahendra Aarya and manager and others.

“Based on the complaint of the police officers we have registered a case against the restaurant owners and manager,” said a police officer from Juhu police station. Officers added that after the restrictions on theater, restaurants and other establishments became stringent, they have been vigilant and conducting awareness drives in the public places and establishments in their jurisdictions.
