NEW DELHI: One labourer died and another sustained injuries after Marathi actor Urmila Kanetkar‘s car ran over the two in Mumbai on Saturday. The actor sustained minor injuries.
The driver has been booked. The incident occurred at 12.45am at Kandivali East.
Kanetkar’s husband, Adinath Kothare, told TOI that Urmila was recovering in hospital.
“Nobody knows how exactly this accident occurred. Urmila was asleep in the car. The air bags popped out and saved her,” he said.
Kanetkar is a well-known Marathi actress, famous for her roles in films like Duniyadaari, Shubhmangal Saavdhan, and Ti Sadhya Kay Karte. She is married to Addinath Kothare, the actor-son of Mahesh Kothare.
