Navi Mumbai: A Ghansoli resident, Christopher Dias (34), has been booked for making a hoax call to the Navi Mumbai police control room at 5.20 am on Sunday, threatening to carry out bomb across Navi Mumbai. The police said he has confessed to making the calls while he was drunk.
A team from the Anti-Terrorism Squad tracked down the caller’s cellphone tower location near Koparkhairane. When the team got to him, he was found drunk, said sub-inspector Lincon Hasure of Koparkhairane police station.
The man was not arrested, but served with a notice to cooperate in the probe. ––George Mendonca
