New Honda Amaze: Variant-wise features, colours and price explained

Honda Cars India has just launched the new and updated Honda Amaze in the Indian market. The sub-compact sedan in its third generation features a completely new exterior design, a new interior layout with additional features, several first-in-segment features, added safety and more. Interested customers can book the new Amaze online or by visiting their nearest dealer, deliveries will begin in January 2025.

The new Amaze is offered in three variants – V, VX, and ZX and the prices start from Rs 7.99 lakh and go up to Rs 10.89 lakh (both prices, ex-showroom). Honda Amaze V
MT: Rs 8 lakh, CVT: 9.20 lakh (ex-showroom)
The V is the entry-level variant of the Amaze and features power-adjustable, body-coloured ORVMs with LED turn indicators, an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, and a semi-digital instrument cluster with a 7-inch MID. Additional features include voice commands, a 4-speaker sound system, manual air conditioning, steering-mounted controls, tilt steering adjust, 14-inch steel wheels with covers, LED projector headlights with LED DRLs, LED taillights, and a shark-fin antenna.

The interior offers fabric upholstery, a rear armrest with cupholders, paddle shifters (CVT), keyless entry, an electrical trunk lock with keyless release, all four power windows, 6 airbags, ABS with EBD, Electronic Stability Control (ESC), traction control, and a Day/Night inside rear-view mirror. Safety and convenience features include 3-point seatbelts and head restraints for all seats, hill start assist, ISOFIX child seat mounts, and rear parking sensors and cameras.

Honda Amaze VX
MT: Rs 9.10 lakh, CVT: 10 lakh (ex-showroom)
Next comes in mid-spec VX trim and gets all the features mentioned above. Additionally, it gets LED projector fog lamps, 15-inch alloy wheels, and power-folding wing mirrors. Inside, it features a satin metallic garnish on the dashboard, a push start/stop button, auto headlamps and wipers, a rear defogger and remote engine start (CVT). Other features include auto climate control with MAX cool mode, rear AC vents, wireless charger, connected car tech with Alexa compatibility, two additional tweeters, and a rearview camera, as well as a lane watch camera.
Honda Amaze ZX
MT: Rs 9.70 lakh, CVT: 10.90 lakh (ex-showroom)
Next comes in top-spec ZX trim which gets dual-tone 15-inch alloy wheels, Honda Sense ADAS features such as adaptive cruise control, automatic emergency braking system, lane keep assist, auto high beam and more. The new Honda Amaze is offered in six colour options – Radiant Red Metallic, Obsidian Blue Pearl, Golden Brown Metallic, Meteoroid Grey Metallic, Lunar Silver Metallic, and Platinum White Pearl.

The new Amaze retains the same engine, a 90hp, 110nm, 1.2-litre, 4-cyl, NA petrol engine with a choice of a 5-speed manual or CVT automatic transmission. The CVT auto has claimed a fuel efficiency of 19.46 kmpl and the 5-speed MT has claimed a fuel efficiency of 18.65 kmpl. As standard, company is offering warranty of 3-years, interested customers can book extend it up to 7 years with unlimited kilometres. In terms of design, the new Amaze features a large and upright grille and also gets twin pod projector headlights. Below, it features a simple and neat bumper design with projector fog lamps. On the side, it looks similar to the outgoing car and gets newly designed 15-inch multi-spoke alloy wheels wrapped up in 185-section tyres. Notably, the wing mirror placement has moved from the pillar to the door.

At the rear, the new Amaze looks very similar to the City. The tail lamps, boot lid design, and rear bumpers closely resemble those of the City, maintaining a similar family look. Other exterior highlights will include LED headlights, Z-shaped LED taillights, a shark fin antenna and a chrome strip above the grille that runs across the bonnet. The new Amaze has been designed at Honda R&D Asia Pacific centre in Thailand and overall, the new Amaze seems to have taken inspiration from the Elevate and Honda City.
