MUMBAI: Two days after experiencing the season’s lowest temperature of 13.7 Celsius, the city on Wednesday recorded a maximum temperature of 35.6C, the highest in the state compared to other India Meteorological Department (IMD) observatories.
The minimum temperature also remained on the higher side.
According to the IMD, the northerly winds, which caused temperature to drop on Monday, didn’t last for long, but another dip is likely after Dec 14 though it may not be as significant.
On Wednesday, the IMD Santacruz observatory recorded a maximum temperature of 35.6C – 2.5 above normal – and a minimum of 20C – 1.2 above normal.
The IMD Colaba observatory recorded a maximum temperature of 33.7 C – 1 above normal – and a minimum of 22.6 C – 0.9 above normal.
