AEW stars, Lexy Nair and Big Bill tied the knot this weekend after being engaged for over two years. The ceremony took place in the Secrets Akumal Riviera Maya, an all-inclusive resort in Mexico. Fans may have expected it to be a star-studded event, however, to their disappointment, the wedding was just attended by Nair and Bill’s family and friends. Is Lexy Nair Married to an Alcoholic?
Big Bill was having the time of his life in WWE and was well on his way to being one of the biggest stars for the company. However, he was dropped in 2018 and that’s when things went downhill for him. During a conversation with Barstool Rasslin, Bill revealed that he got addicted to alcohol shortly after being dropped by WWE.
Furthermore, in an interview with 411Mania, Big Bill opined about his stay at the rehab facility. He reflected on how the initial days were difficult and he didn’t want to give in to the programme. However, with the help of Shannon Moore, he had a speedy recovery.
Bill said, “I finally gave in to the program, which I thought was stupid prior to that and I hated going to meetings. I finally realized these people are just like me. Everyone’s stories are a little different, but the blueprint is exactly the same for everybody in here. Finally, I started listening to people, got a sponsor, did everything I was told, and I guess that was the beginning of my next journey, which was coming back to wrestling. Getting sober was the hardest thing I’ve done in my life, but it was the best thing I’ve done. It’s like I have a new lease on life now. I’m not killing myself with alcohol, and I have a second chance.“ (via 411Mania)
How Long Have Lexy Nair and Big Bill Been Dating?
Despite being in a dark place, Bill worked on himself and eventually landed a contract with AEW. There he went on to win the World Tag Team Championship earlier this year. From being an alcoholic, to now being married, Bill has grown a lot over the past few years. Nair joined AEW back in 2020, but Bill didn’t arrive until 2022.
However, the pair started dating in 2021, when Big Bill was still wrestling for TNA. Their relationship came into being after Bill moved over to AEW and the two started spending more time together. It only took Nair and Bill one year to get engaged and then two more to get married.
