Man held for molesting 8-year-old girl in Thane | Thane News

NEW DELHI: A 43-year-old man was arrested on Saturday for allegedly molesting an eight-year-old girl in Diva, Thane district.
The incident occurred on November 20 while the girl was alone at home. The man, a neighbor, allegedly touched the girl inappropriately. The girl’s father filed a police complaint on Saturday.
Police arrested the accused and charged him under section 74 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita and relevant provisions of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act.
The victim’s identity has not been revealed to protect her privacy as per Supreme Court directives on cases related to sexual assault
