MUMBAI: Commotion broke out in the women’s coach of the AC local train of Central Railway when a naked man suddenly entered the compartment.
Seeing the man, the women began to shout at him and called the TC present in the next bogie, who pushed the man out of the train at the station.
The incident occurred on Monday evening at 4.11pm. The train was going from Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus (CSMT) to Kalyan.
The naked man allegedly boarded the compartment when the train stopped at Ghatkopar station and created panic among the passengers. Despite yelling at him to leave the train, the man did not get out.
However, hearing the voices of the women, the motorman stopped the train. Lata Argade, a railway activist who received a video of the incident from a passenger, said that despite Ghatkopar being such a busy station, such an incident raises questions about the security arrangements of the police.
The railway officials said that the person was mentally unstable and entered the train by mistake. GRP caught him immediately made him wear clothes and left him outside the station.
