CHENNAI: Villupuram MP D Ravikumar has condemned the Union government for moving the statues of Mahatma Gandhi and B R Ambedkar from prominent locations in the Lok Sabha complex to a corner of the complex designated as Prerana Sthal (place of inspiration) on the premises.
In a statement, the VCK MP said the dislocation of the statues of the late leaders is “nothing but a ploy to defame them.”
He said the new speaker was yet to be elected and nobody gave the former speaker the authority to decide on the dislocation.
