Apple Inc. has announced that Kevan Parekh, an Indian-origin engineer, will be the company’s new Chief Financial Officer (CFO) starting January 1, 2025. Parekh, who is currently Apple’s Vice President of Financial Planning and Analysis, will succeed Luca Maestri, who is transitioning to a new role within Apple’s Corporate Services teams.
With 11 years at Apple, Parekh has played a significant role in shaping the company’s financial strategies. His impressive background includes a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Michigan and an MBA from the University of Chicago.
At Apple, Parekh has managed key areas such as Financial Planning and Analysis, Investor Relations, and Market Research. He has also led finance for Worldwide Sales, Retail, and Marketing, showcasing his broad expertise across Apple’s various business sectors.
Prior to joining Apple, Parekh had a distinguished career at Thomson Reuters and General Motors. At Reuters, he was Vice President of Finance and Corporate Treasurer. At General Motors, he served as Director of Business Development in New York and Regional Treasurer in Zurich.
Parekh’s new role marks a significant change at Apple, following recent shifts within the company’s leadership team.
