Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) has announced the appointment of Gaisingam Kabui as its Chief Financial Officer, effective October 1, 2024.
Kabui previously served as the Chief General Manager (Finance) at IRCTC.
An Indian Railway Accounts Service (IRAS) officer from the 2001 batch, Kabui has served as the Finance Head in two key divisions—Lumding and Katihar—and has also worked in the Railway Board as Director of Finance and CCA (Chief Controller of Accounts), bringing in experiences in Railway Finance.
Over his career, Kabui has gained comprehensive experience across various segments of Railway Finance, in both Open Line and Construction Organisations.
Before joining IRCTC, he held the position of Financial Adviser and Chief Accounts Officer/ FOIS in Northern Railway.
IRCTC, a public sector undertaking of the Government of India, was established in 1999 under the Ministry of Railways. It manages ticketing, catering, and tourism services for Indian Railways.
