The inaugural Asia Nonwovens Technology Expo (ANTEX Asia 2024), taking place from November 13-15, 2024 at the Bangkok International Trade & Exhibition Centre (BITEC) in Bangkok, Thailand, will showcase Thailand’s pioneering role in the sustainable evolution of nonwoven technologies.
The inaugural Asia Nonwovens Technology Expo (ANTEX Asia 2024) will be held from November 13-15 in Bangkok, showcasing Thailand’s leadership in sustainable nonwoven technologies.
With a market share of 48 per cent in Southeast Asia, Thailand aims to strengthen its position as a production hub.
The expo will feature more than 100 exhibitors.
As the global nonwoven industry anticipates a robust annual growth rate of over 8.7 per cent, Thailand is at the forefront of holding 48 per cent of market share in Southeast Asia’s nonwovens industry.
According to a research report, the nonwoven fabric market was valued at $50.33 billion in 2023 and is projected to reach $148.387 billion by 2036. Thailand, with its substantial production capacity of 162,000 tonnes per year, dominates the regional market. This growth is propelled by the industry’s shift towards high-value production through innovative and sustainable technologies.
“The Thai textile industry is adapting to a new era focused on creating added value with advanced innovation and technology. Nonwoven fabrics, favored for their durability, water resistance, and environmental benefits, are at the forefront of this shift. We recognised the potential and readiness of Thailand. ANTEX Asia 2024 is one of our initiatives to promote trade and investment in the nonwoven industry and we look forward to Thailand as the production and export hub in Southeast Asia,” Dr. Chanchai Sirikasemlert, executive director of the Thailand Textile Institute, said.
Organised by MGT Expo Planning and Management Ltd, Baobab Tree Event Management Co Ltd, Tradelink Co Ltd, and co-hosted by the Thailand Textile Institute and the Thai Nonwoven Fabrics Industry Trade Association, ANTEX Asia 2024 is set to solidify Thailand’s status as a manufacturing and trading hub for nonwoven innovation.
ANTEX Asia 2024 will feature over 100 exhibitors from 10 countries and regions, offering a variety of materials, production technologies, equipment, and applications across various industries. The ANTEX Asia Nonwovens Conference 2024 will be held concurrently with the expo, where industry experts will discuss the latest trends in nonwovens, healthcare/personal care, circular economy, and the latest updates on nonwoven technologies.
The expo will also feature various networking and sector-specific events, enabling participants to connect with key players through effective business matchmaking and targeted events to facilitate deeper engagement and collaboration.
“The Expo aims to provide a premier platform for industry stakeholders to network, exchange knowledge, and explore the latest development in nonwoven materials and technologies,” Grace Mak, founder of MGT Expo, said.
“Given our expertise in the exhibition field, we are confident in delivering a highly effective event for the industry,” Culsin Li, managing director from Baobab Tree Event, said.
“MICE activities like ANTEX Asia 2024 play a crucial role in boosting our economy and showcasing Thailand’s capabilities on the global stage, offering significant opportunities for international collaboration and investment,” Dr. Duangdet Yuaykwamdee, director of the international exhibition industry division at the Thailand Convention and Exhibition Bureau (TCEB), said.
