For the first time at drupa, the Touchpoint Sustainability will serve as an independent forum, free from the influence of any single supplier, underscoring its objective to foster a holistic and inclusive dialogue on sustainability. This initiative is set to demonstrate the print and paper industry’s integral role in the global sustainable transformation, highlighting its significant strides in eco-friendly innovation, the organisers of drupa 2024 said in a press release.
At drupa 2024, to be held in Düsseldorf, Germany, the introduction of the Touchpoint Sustainability (tps) marks a significant stride towards environmental stewardship in the print and paper industry.
Scheduled from May 28 to June 7, this independent forum will highlight the industry’s sustainable innovations and feature over 30 exhibitors.
Featuring around 30 exhibitors, tps will showcase an array of best practice examples spanning the entire value chain. These exhibitors will not only offer insights into the current state of sustainability within the industry but will also provide a glimpse into the promising prospects for future developments. The more than 400 square metre booth, designed to be both a dialogue platform and a showroom, promises to be a hub of inspiration and innovation, facilitated by the German industrial association VDMA Printing and Paper Technology.
This initiative acknowledges the critical role of print and paper in daily lives, underpinned by advanced technologies in mechanical engineering and plant construction that ensure the production processes’ quality, safety, and, crucially, their sustainability.
