Alvarez and Marsal (A&M) India, a global consulting firm, announced on Thursday the appointment of Bharat Garg and Sameer Amte as Managing Directors.
Bharat Garg, based in Mumbai, brings over 16 years of experience in strategic consulting across sectors such as FMCG, direct-to-consumer brands, fashion, and retail. His expertise lies in leading large-scale business transformations, formulating corporate strategies, and driving end-to-end margin improvement globally.
At A&M, Bharat will focus on expanding the firm’s consumer and retail practice, with an emphasis on delivering comprehensive transformations and operational improvements.
Sameer Amte, based in Pune, joins A&M with more than 20 years of consulting experience spanning the industrial, retail, and life sciences sectors. He has a strong track record in driving EBITDA improvement programs, digital transformation, and supply chain optimization, with particular expertise in omni-channel transformation initiatives. Prior to joining A&M, Sameer led the retail and life sciences practice at Accenture Strategy and Consulting in India.
In his new role, he will focus on strengthening A&M’s industrial sector capabilities and leveraging digital strategies to support growth for clients across multiple industries in a dynamic market.
