The BCCI on Friday announced Team India’s 15-man squad for the upcoming three-match Test series against New Zealand, starting October 16. While Rohit Sharma will continue to lead the side, pacer Jasprit Bumrah has been named his deputy for the series which will get underway in Bengaluru. Bumrah’s elevation as vice-captain comes just a day after reports emerged that Rohit could miss one of the first two Tests against Australia due to personal reasons. Meanwhile, pacer Mayank Yadav, who made his India debut during the ongoing T20I series against Bangladesh, has been added to the reserves.
