KOLKATA: An IndiGo aircraft taxiing for takeoff grazed a stationary AI Express plane at Kolkata airport Wednesday morning, resulting in damage to both the aircraft, reported.
There were 169 passengers on board AI Express Flight IX 1866 bound for Chennai & 133 on the Darbhanga-bound IndiGo flight 6E 6152. No one was injured on either plane but flyers on AI Express aircraft experienced a jolt when the incident took place at 10.30 am.Both planes were grounded.
DGCA has initiated an inquiry and the two IndiGo pilots, who appear to have made an error of judgment, have been de-rostered.
